Obituary for Dolores Ileane Hardman

Cumberland, MD – Dolores Ileane Hardman, 89, of Cumberland, MD, passed away Monday, February 5, 2018, at her home. 

Born December 4, 1928, Cumberland, Mrs. Hardman was the daughter of the late John Edward Bowles and Cora Canelia (Gant) Bowles. She was preceded in death by her husband: Blair Junior Hardman, May 27, 2002; two sisters: Phyllis Bowles and Eloise Wiley; a son: Timothy Blair Hardman; a granddaughter: Amy Helmstetter; and a great grandson: Harrison Squires. 

A homemaker, Dolores was a member of the Mount Herman United Methodist Church and the United Methodist Women's Association. She is survived by her children: Kathy I. Collins and husband, Mark; Robin L. Helmstetter and husband, Patrick; and Terri S. Hardman; her daughter-in-law: Kristen Whitbread-Hardman of Vermont; and Scott Lee Hardman and friend, Mary Absher, all of Cumberland, MD.  Dolores also leaves behind her sister: Helen L. Auvil and husband, James, Cumberland, MD; six grandchildren; six great grandchildren; and her precious dog: Areona. 

Friends will be received at the Adams Family Funeral Home, P.A., 404 Decatur Street, Cumberland, MD, on Wednesday, February 7, 2018, from 2:00 P.M. to 4:00 P.M., and from 6:00 P.M. to 8:00 P.M. 

A funeral service will be conducted at the funeral home on Thursday, February 8, 2018, at 11:00 A.M., with Reverend Fred Iser officiating. 

Interment will be held at Sunset Memorial Park.

Pallbearers will be Jason Collins, Zachary Seifarth, Ryley Helmstetter-Thomas, Steve Hardman, Randy Hardman, and Oak Whitbread-Hardman.
