Ridgeley, WV - Charles Homer Hamilton, 74, of Ridgeley, WV, died on Tuesday, November 18, 2008, at his home. Born November 12, 1934, in Cumberland, MD, Mr. Hamilton was the son of the late James Hanson Hamilton and Bertie Mae (Taylor) Hamilton. A United States Army Veteran, Mr. Hamilton was a graduate of Fort Hill High School, Class of 1952, and retired from the United States Postal Service. He was also a former member of Kingsley United Methodist Church. Mr. Hamilton is survived by his sons, Donald C. Hamilton and his wife, Julie, Boonsboro, MD; Douglas B. Hamilton; and Steven M. Hamilton, both of Cumberland, MD; his daughter, Robin E. Welsh and her husband, Robert, McHenry, MD; his sister, Juanita Nehring, Grafton, OH; as well as six grandchildren, three great grandchildren, and a special friend, Janet Kline. Friends were received at Adams Family Funeral Home, P.A., 404 Decatur Street, Cumberland, MD, on Wednesday, November 19, 2008 from 7:00 P.M. to 9:00 P.M. A funeral service was conducted at the funeral home on Thursday, November 20, 2008 at 11:00 A.M. with Reverend Fred Iser officiating Interment was in the Maryland Veterans’ Cemetery at Rocky Gap.
