Obituary for Roger Lee Brant

Cumberland, MD – Roger Lee Brant, 66, of Cumberland, MD, passed away Wednesday, September 5, 2018, at the Western Maryland Regional Medical Center. 

Born May 25, 1952, in Cumberland, MD, Mr. Brant was the son of the late William Stanley Brant and Betty May (Jones) Brant. He was also preceded in death by his wife: Mary Brant; and two brothers: Donald and Gary Brant. 

Formerly employed with Brock Steel and Company, Roger enjoyed hunting and fishing. He is survived by his daughter: Penny McMillan and husband, James; and his son: George Fogle and wife, Aleta, all of Cumberland, MD.  He also leaves behind his sister: Linda Bowers: his sister-in-law: Vergie Brant; and his nieces and nephews: Mandy, Billy, Rhonda, and Tina.  Roger is also survived by his grandchildren: Stephanie House and husband, Tommy; Dawn Payton and husband Brad; Ashley Coleman and husband, Matt; Joshua McMillan and wife, Ashton; James McMillan, III, and wife, Marsha; Loretta Knippenburg and husband, Mike; Breanna Thomas; Bristy Thomas; Brayla Thomas; and Destiny Yonker; as well as 21 great grandchildren; and one great-great granddaughter; and numerous other family members. 

Friends will be received at the Adams Family Funeral Home, P.A., 404 Decatur Street, Cumberland, MD, on Tuesday, September 11, 2018, from 6:00 P.M. to 8:00 P.M. 

A funeral service will be conducted at the funeral home on Wednesday, September 12, 2018, at 10:00 A.M., with Deacon Dave Conley officiating. 

Interment will be in Restlawn Memorial Gardens.
