Obituary for Marvin Lee Elbin

Cumberland, MD – Marvin Lee Elbin, 76, of Cumberland, MD, passed away Wednesday, August 29, 2018, at his home. 

Born March 31, 1942, in Cumberland, MD, Mr. Elbin was the son of the late Marvin Leo Elbin and Velma Lureta (Northcraft) Elbin. 

A graduate of Everett High School, Class of 1960, Marvin attended Catherman’s Business School. He was previously employed at PPG, retired from Finkle Trucking, and then employed with Crites Transfer.  He was a member of the Lebanon Christian Church. 

Marvin is survived by his wife: Sarah Jane Elbin; his children: Michele Schultz, Wiley Ford, WV; Kim Detrick and husband, Paul, Cumberland, MD; Candy Lawrence and husband, Stanley, Artemas, PA; David Stokes and wife, Christine of New York; Victoria Moyer and husband, Kevin, Falling Waters, WV; Barbara Conrad and Charlie Conrad, Artemas, PA; and Robert Stokes and wife, Pam, Flintstone, MD; as well as numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren. 

A funeral service will be conducted at the Lebanon Christian Church, 115 Bollman Road, Artemas, PA, on Friday, August 31, 2018, at 12 Noon, with Reverend John Miller officiating. Friends will be received one hour prior to the service. 

Interment will be in Mount Zion Cemetery.

The family requests that memorial contributions be made to the funeral home to assist with expenses.
