Obituary for Cletus Conrad Hill, Sr.

Cumberland, MD – Cletus Conrad Hill, Sr., 67, of Cumberland, MD, passed away Thursday, June 7, 2018, at Cumberland Healthcare Center. 

Born April 21, 1951, in Cumberland, MD, Mr. Hill was the son of the late Brady Dennison Hill, Sr., and Wanda Gwyn Dennison (Simpson) Hill. He was also preceded in death by a brother: Brady Dennison Hill, Jr. 

A graduate of Allegany High School, Class of 1969, Cletus was a United States Naval Veteran and retired from the Western Correctional Institute. He was actively involved with Alcoholics Anonymous where he received his 15 years ping.  Cletus loved to fish and enjoyed riding bicycles with his brother-in-law, Jim Senka. 

Cletus is survived by his wife of 47 years: Gloria Jane (Ruby) Hill: his son: Cletus Conrad Hill, Jr.; and his daughter: April Dawn Martz. He also leaves behind his brothers: Leonard Wayne Hill; and Kenneth Thomas Hill and wife, Rose; his sister: Alice Fay Senka and husband, Jim; as well as ten grandchildren and numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, and nephews. 

Friends will be received at the Adams Family Funeral Home, P.A., 404 Decatur Street, Cumberland, MD, on Monday, June 11, 2018, from 5:00 P.M. to 8:00 P.M. 

A funeral service will be conducted at the funeral home on Tuesday, June 12, 2018, at 11:00 A.M., with Pastor Larry Trail officiating. 

Interment will be in Beans Cove Cemetery. 

Military honors will be accorded at the cemetery by the Post #13 Veterans Honor Guard. 

The family would like to give a special thank you to the staff at Cumberland Healthcare Center for all the care and compassion given to Cletus.
